The Owls Nursery provides high standards of childcare and education within an extremely well appointed quality setting.
Our philosophy is to provide high standards of childcare and education and recognise the importance of providing a secure, enabling environment where all children fulfil their individual potential. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and as such we aim to encourage children to become confident and to inspire all children to be creative, unique individuals who are respectful of others. Our aim is to assist all children to develop, learn and to provide a happy, stimulating, caring and secure environment for each child.
The Owls Nursery recognises that parents/carers are generally the first educators of their child/children; this is reflected in the relationships with the staff at the nursery. Parents/carers are welcome to discuss their child/children with their child’s key workers or manager of the nursery. We operate a key worker and link worker system, this helps children to bond and settle into the Nursery and it provides a holistic and cohesive care package for children within the Nursery.
At the Owls Nursery we are a fully inclusive nursery and we aim to provide all children within our care with the best possible opportunities and outcomes. Children are offered equal opportunities throughout their nursery experience, as we believe in giving children the best possible start in their early years. Children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) are offered the same opportunities during their time at nursery and our SENCo, Nicola Pickup, is extremely well trained and experienced in this field. Any additional support a child may need will be accommodated by our team and individual plans put in place to meet specific needs, working closely with parents and carers. Nicola is supported within this role by room leaders, Jodie Dermot, over 2’s and Mandy Cross, under 2’s. Our SENCo team work closely with outside agencies in order to provide the best possible care tailored to individual needs. Please speak with Nicola for any further information.
