Our “Baby Owls” room is designed to care for babies up to 12 months of age and connects directly to our beautiful newly constructed “Wobbly Owls” room for children from 13 months up to 24 months.
Our “Baby Owls” room is large, spacious and bright and equipped with cots, toys and prams (for walks on fine days) to encourage all round development. The room is fully equipped with sterilisation equipment, food warming, fridge for storage of milk and a separate changing area. Our ‘black and white corner’ is designed to help babies develop their visual awareness. The difference in textures allows babies and young children explore the different tactile sensations.
Musical instruments, books, story time, songs, dance and movement, sensory and tactile materials are used to stimulate the young minds allowing them to learn about the world around them. Our ‘Baby Garden’ is equipped with a beautiful Swiss Cottage play house, baby swings and sand pit and provides a safe place for children to play with the benefit of being separate from the older children’s play area.
We have the benefit of the Baby Owls room and the Wobbly Owls room having their own separate access and parents are able to drop their children off safely and conveniently directly outside these rooms.
We aim to provide the highest levels of loving and attentive care for all babies and young children. Our Baby Room Leaders are Mandy and Andrea who both have many years experience in childcare and particularly in the care of babies. They are both qualified to level 3 in childcare.
“The assessment system is excellent. Staff have an excellent knowledge of children’s next steps in learning and offer a range of strategies to help their development skills. Parents are heavily involved in the assessment process” excitement” – Ofsted 2017
