I am the nursery manager and I have many years experience working within nursery settings and hold a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Social Policy. I have worked with all ages of children and my passion continues to be providing high quality learning experiences for children and supporting the staff to promote the children’s development in new and exciting ways. I am committed to maintaining a highly skilled Early Years team and building a strong partnership with parents. I am a member of the NDNA Bolton, Bury and Wigan Network, where owners and managers meet to discuss current developments in Early Years. I am committed to providing the highest quality of childcare and to lead our team of nursery practitioners to ensure we always deliver the very best at all times.
Nicola, Deputy Manager
I am Deputy Manager, specialising in
children under 2 years of age. I oversee Baby Owls room and Wobbly Owls room.
I am level 3 qualified in childcare. I have 11 years experience working within
nurseries, three of which have been as a manager.
I have 8 years experience working with children with SEN or additional educational needs. I am extremely passionate about childcare and in particular this age range. It is my responsibility to oversee and support staff in these rooms. As one of the Deputy Managers, I also oversee the running of the nursery when Kaylee is away.
Emma, Deputy Manager
I am the Nursery’s Early Years Teacher (EYT) and Deputy Manager specialising in children over 2 years of age.
I oversee both “Preschool Owls” and “Wise Owls” ensuring all the planning, tracking, learning and development are in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). As one of the Deputy Managers, I also oversee the running of the nursery when Kaylee is away. I gained my degree and then went on to qualify as an Early Years Teacher (EYT). I have been a part of The Owls team for 6 years, starting as a Nursery Practitioner, then Senior Practitioner and now Deputy Manager.I am committed to providing the highest quality of childcare and to help lead our team of nursery practitioners to ensure we always deliver the very best at all times.
Emily, Senior Practitioner
I am the Senior Practitioner at the Owls Nursery. I oversee “Preschool Owls” and I am also the Nursery’s nominated SENCO. I am qualified to level 3 and I have 5 years experience in childcare. I enjoy being involved in children’s development and watching them grow and learn through the range of activities we plan for them, my favourites being messy and creative play.
Mandy & Andrea
We are joint room leaders in Baby Owls room.
We are both qualified to level 3 in childcare and have many years experience working within the field of childcare and are particularly passionate about working with babies.
Vickie B & Vicky L
We are joint room leaders in Wobbly Owls. Both Vickie B and Vicky L are qualified to level 3 in childcare.
Both Vickie B and Vicky L have a strong passion for childcare and love working with this age range of children. Both Vickie B and Vicky L have been working at the Owls Nursery for over 7 years.
Jodie & Chloe
We are joint room leader’s for “Wise Owls” We are both qualified to level 3 in childcare. Our role is to oversee the general smooth running of the room in terms of planning and observations and ensure that the children within “Wise Owls ” thoroughly enjoy their learning and development experience. We are both very passionate about the children and their team.
Stacey, Mandy & Michaela
Stacey, Mandy and Michaela are room leader’s in Preschool. Mandy and Michaela lead Upper Preschool and Stacey leads Lower Preschool. Mandy and Michaela are level 3 Nursery Practitioner’s. Mandy and Michaela say that it is a joy and pleasure to be room leaders in Upper Preschool and always aim to give the children the best possible opportunities whilst learning through play. Stacey is also very passionate about her role as room leader and has many years experience within this role. As room leader’s they are all involved in the planning of children’s activities and have the overall leadership role within these rooms.
Emma & Leah
Emma is our Kitchen Manager and she is assisted within the kitchen by Leah, our Kitchen Assistant. They both understand the importance of nutrition and food hygiene.Emma and Leah jointly prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children. They also enjoy baking with the children, providing opportunities for the children to build on their knowledge of healthy practices. They also bake fresh bread for the children. Emma is fully qualified in food hygiene and helped the nursery to once again, attain an excellent 5 star rating at our most recent food hygiene inspection.
